Exploring the wonders of the world is a dream for many travelers. With so many amazing destinations to choose from, it can be difficult to decide where to start. In this article, we will explore five must-visit sites that showcase the beauty and wonder of our planet.

Machu Picchu, Peru

Machu Picchu is one of the most famous archaeological sites in the world. Located high in the Andes Mountains of Peru, it was built by the Incas in the 15th century and abandoned a century later. The site remained unknown to the outside world until it was discovered by Hiram Bingham in 1911. Visiting Machu Picchu is an unforgettable experience. The site is incredibly well-preserved and offers a glimpse into the fascinating Inca civilization. The ruins are set against a backdrop of stunning mountain scenery, including the iconic peak of Huayna Picchu.

To reach Machu Picchu, visitors can take a train from Cusco to Aguas Calientes, the closest town to the site. From there, a bus or hike up steep stone steps leads to the entrance.
