London’s Heathrow Airport has been forced to shut down until midnight on March 21 following a massive fire at an electrical substation, which caused a significant power outage. The disruption has led to widespread flight cancellations, with authorities strongly advising passengers not to travel to the airport.

In a statement on X, Heathrow officials confirmed the closure, emphasizing that passenger and staff safety remains the top priority. "Due to a fire at an electrical substation supplying the airport, Heathrow is experiencing a significant power outage. To maintain safety, the airport will be closed until 23h59 on March 21. Passengers should contact their airline for updates and avoid traveling to the airport."

Fire crews are actively responding to the incident, but there is no clarity on when power will be restored. With ongoing disruptions expected, authorities urge passengers to remain informed through their airlines before making any travel plans.
