Israel launched airstrikes on multiple locations in Lebanon on Saturday, retaliating after six rockets were fired from Lebanon toward the Israeli border town of Metula. Three rockets crossed into Israeli territory before being intercepted. Israel targeted Hezbollah command centers and rocket launchers, though the militant group denied responsibility, reaffirming its commitment to the ceasefire.

The strikes killed five people, including a child, in Touline and one person in Tyre, while several others were injured. Another attack near the Syrian border wounded five. Lebanese Prime Minister Nawaf Salam urged restraint, while the UN called for de-escalation.
The violence raises concerns over the fragile ceasefire, following Israel’s renewed military operations in Gaza. On Friday night, an Israeli airstrike in Gaza killed at least nine people, including children. Since last week, around 600 Palestinians have died as Israel pressures Hamas to release hostages. Humanitarian aid to Gaza remains cut off, intensifying the crisis.
