Thousands of Americans rallied in over 1,200 "Hands Off!" demonstrations nationwide, protesting President Trump and Elon Musk's government downsizing and social policies. Critics condemned cuts to public services, including Social Security and healthcare, and the rollback of LGBTQ+ protections. Elon Musk, heading the new Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE), faced scrutiny for mass federal worker firings and agency cuts.

The White House dismissed the protests, claiming Trump's policies protect essential programs for eligible Americans, and alleging Democrats aim to extend these benefits to undocumented immigrants.
